Safe Caring Practices within the family

Anglicare SA and the Special Investigations Unit (SI Unit) are offering an Information Session on Safe Caring Practices for Foster Carers.

Steve James from the Special Investigations Unit (SI Unit) will be presenting information on the Special Investigation process, what carers should expect if they have a Special Investigation and answer any questions you may have.

The Alternative Care training team will be presenting up to date information about the responsibilities of foster carers and workers within the Alternative Care System.

Parenting Traumatised Children

Ruth is a psychologist that has spent many years working with children in the Foster Care System. Ruth delivers a presentation focused on understanding trauma, how it impacts on children and behaviours and strategies that carers can use when working with traumatised children. Ruth presentation is based on therapeutic parenting.
