Australian Foster Care Conference 2009

The Foster Care Association of WA in partnership with the Department for Child Protection are hosting the 2009 Australian Foster care Conference. The song “You Raise Me Up: to all that I can be” reflects what this Conference is all about. Celebrating and enriching foster carers and related service workers who raise children up to realise their full potential, to make a difference in their lives. The Conference runs from 27th to 29th March 2009 in Fremantle Western Australia. Visit the website and find out more about the presenters, workshops and Long Service Awards.

TO BE HELD DURING NATIONAL FAMILIES WEEK 2008, ENDING ON THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FAMILIES

The aim of this inaugural conference is to identify issues, share solutions and celebrate successes. Additionally, discussion will focus on enabling services to better respond to children's and families' needs by focusing on family wellbeing, all-inclusive communities, policy, practice and priorities, and the voice of children, young people and families.

National Foster Care Conference 2008

The theme of this year’s national conference is “Better Outcomes”. Those interested in speaking, or presenting a workshop or concurrent session at the 2008 National Foster Care Conference on a topic relevance to this theme are invited to submit a 250 word abstract of the topic and method of presentation, together with brief information about themselves and any co presenters, to the Conference Organising Committee by 5.00pm on Thursday April 24 2008.
